Our Learning Specialists support students,
teachers, and parents to help ensure that individual student
needs are met. Our Student Support Team, comprised of several
faculty members, the Learning Specialists, and the Lower School
Division Head, meets regularly to talk about individual student
progress and to brainstorm ideas to maximize learning,
including differentiation, enrichment, or additional
support that will allow the greatest success.
The Learning Specialists serve as the liaison between the
school and any outside resources that might be needed to support
a student’s growth and development. The Learning Specialists
work with parents, teachers, and outside professionals to
make reasonable accommodations for diagnosed learning
differences.
The school also employs Emotional Support
Counselors who are available to help with individual,
peer, or family challenges. The counselors also serve as a
resource for families who may need additional mental health
services outside of school.
