Annual Turkey Drive
A Student-Led Tradition

Post

Initiated by the Class of 2019 as fifth grade students in 2011, Country Day’s Annual Turkey Drive has become a special annual school-wide community giving tradition.

Each year, Country Day collects turkeys for Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services to provide for local families in need. Parent and student volunteers collect fresh and frozen turkeys at morning drop off.

In 2019, Country Day families donated 328 turkeys! This drive, benefiting Sacramento Food Bank & Families Services, goes a long way toward the fight against hunger in our local community.

Thank you to the founding members of the Class of 2019 for their leadership in establishing the Turkey Drive!
