Annual Fund Impact Report 2019-20

Post

Dear Country Day Community,

In 2019-20, more than any other year, we experienced unparalleled change. Back in September we had no idea what the academic year would look like at its end, yet because of support from donors like you, we were able to quickly pivot to online learning. Despite being apart physically for a large portion of the school year, our community came together to support each other in new and creative ways.

With your help, Country Day was able to create a Community Fund to aid students and their families experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic. Creating and maintaining community has always been a central focus for our school, yet we never would have known how we would all be called to demonstrate our commitment to ensure that our community remains strong.

We’ve also made significant investments in the 2020-21 school year thanks to your gifts. We’ve added new technology, provided training for faculty, and made important health and safety modifications to campus facilities that will ensure our students continue to receive the best educational experience in all of Sacramento. While we may not know what our future brings, we know that with the continued support of our community we will be well prepared to handle whatever comes our way. We are so grateful for your engagement and commitment to Country Day.

Thanks to your generosity, Country Day students continue to learn, grow, and thrive despite even the most challenging circumstances. When you give to Country Day you are investing in the bright future of diverse students from all over Sacramento, across the country, and across the world. Your donations literally give the gift of an outstanding Country Day education.

Thank you for investing in our school, in our students, and in our community.

With deep gratitude,

Lee Thomsen
Head of School
