The College Counseling Program focus for 9th graders is to encourage students to acclimate themselves to the rigors of high school academic coursework and develop their interests by engaging in numerous co-curricular activities. With focused, individual attention by the counselor, advisors, and teachers, our programs guides our first-year students towards a powerful high school experience that provides excellent college options.
Students:
- Introduction to College Counselor during Orientation
- Group meeting with the College Counselor and individual meetings with academic advisors in the spring to discuss high school schedules
- Advisor review of courses and schedules to help students gain focus and passion
- Faculty guidance for students towards meaningful and deep involvement in campus activities such as clubs, affinity groups, athletics, and other co-curriculars
