• College admission representatives visit Country Day throughout September and October (38 visits in fall 2022)

• Individual Spring College Counseling Meeting to plan senior schedule, standardized testing, college visits, and initial college list

• Junior Parent Survey to solicit information about family preferences and priorities with respect to college applications

• Personalized summer letter in June to each senior family with student transcript, student data,  and suggested colleges to consider and research

Students:

• Complete senior self-evaluation over the summer before senior year to prepare for writing personal statements, UC personal insight questions, and supplemental essays

• Late summer SAT and/or ACT testing in August and/or September

• UC Application and Common Application workshops in August

• College admission representatives visit Country Day throughout September and October (38 visits in fall 2022)

• C Day Meetings in the fall with the College Counselor to review application procedures and timelines

• Individual Fall College Counseling Meeting in August/September to review final college list and discuss essays

• October Application Workshops during the week of high school trips to work on applications and essays

• Complete Peer Adjective & Anecdotes

• School-Day SAT for seniors in October

• College Financial Aid Night in October

• College Counselor reviews, edits, and makes suggestions to personal statement, UC personal insight questions, and supplemental essays for each student

• College Counselor reviews and proofreads Common Application, UC application, and CSU application for each student

• Students announce their college choices on May 1

Parents/Guardians:

• Parent/Guardians complete Adjectives & Anecdotes for their student

• Update on College Counseling for Parents of Seniors presentation at the start of the school year

• Financial Aid Night presentation in October

• Quarterly meeting for parents: “Coffee with the College Counselor”
