Being College Ready
Country Day’s high school experience combines rigorous academics with proven college outcomes, particularly strong placement in the UC system and other selective institutions. We use Scoir as our college counseling platform.
- Country Day high school graduation requirements align with the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) admissions requirements. All of Country Day’s academic courses are articulated with the UC system.
- 100% of our graduates who apply are admitted to college.
- Each year, Country Day students are admitted to all of the UCs and selective colleges throughout the United States and abroad.
- Historically, Country Day has among the highest percentage of students applying to the UCs of all public and private high schools in Sacramento County and among the highest being admitted to the UCs.

Standardized Testing
Country Day administers the PSAT to sophomores and juniors; those scores for juniors may qualify students for National Merit recognition. Country Day also administers a School-Day SAT in March for juniors and October for seniors. The college counselor develops a strategic plan with seniors individually with respect to reporting standardized testing.

Community Service
Country Day believes in the importance of community engagement and social responsibility. To foster these values, we require all students to complete community service over their four years of high school. This requirement is designed to encourage students to contribute positively to society and to develop a lifelong commitment to serving others.
