Evan Ward teaches 6th-12th grade Latin and AP Latin.  Evan comes to Sacramento Country Day School with a B.A. in Classics from Xavier University, a M.A. in Classics from Vanderbilt University, and is currently a Ph.D candidate in Applied Linguistics from Ball State University.  Evan’s research and dissertation focuses on the pragmatics of gender reference in language. Evan has seven years of experience teaching middle and high school Latin. 

Outside of academics, Evan’s passion is bluegrass and traditional Appalachian music, playing the banjo and singing professionally in the U.S. and internationally.
