Alvaro Garcia
High School Spanish
From Granada, Spain, Alvaro joins us in our high school language department as a Spanish teacher. Alvaro received his bachelor’s degree in speech therapy from the University of Grenada and his master’s degree in speech therapy research in neurodegenerative disorders and brain damage from the University of Grenada. Alvaro also completed three years of Ph.D. research about autism and childhood development, taught physiology at the university level, and taught Spanish to emergency doctors. He is currently finishing up his master’s degree in Spanish at Sacramento State University.
When not teaching, Alvaro enjoys hiking with his dog and family, cooking, and watching movies.
