Overview

The Country Day Fund

THE 2022-23 COUNTRY DAY FUND
50 Days of Giving
September 27-November 15

Each year, all members of our community are asked to make a tax-deductible gift to the Country Day Fund. The Country Day Fund contributes to the current year’s operating budget and helps pay for the everyday essentials our school needs to maintain and enhance our small class sizes, robust programming and world-class faculty.

The Country Day Fund not only has an immediate impact on our students, it is our vehicle to honor and perpetuate the deep tradition of philanthropy at Country Day. Gifts of every size from faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni and students make a difference and shout our Country Day pride!

Donors can choose to designate their gift to the particular area of the operational budget that they find most meaningful.

  • Area of Greatest Need
  • Athletics and Physical Education
  • Faculty Support and Professional Development
  • Innovation & Technology
  • Inclusion, Diversity & Equity
  • Performing and Visual Arts
  • Tuition Assistance

Should designated contributions exceed a designation’s budgeted need, the school will direct the gift to the area of greatest need. The Country Day Fund opens on July 1 each year, and all payments are due by June 30 the following year.

Country Day Fund Impact Report 2021-22

Dear Country Day Community,

Generosity in our community has consistently created pathways for Country Day students to learn, grow, and thrive. When you give to Country Day you are investing in the power of philanthropy to transform education from good to great. Thank you for contributing to the bright future of diverse students from all over Sacramento, across the country, and across the world.

With your support, in the 2021-22 school year we made key investments in several areas, giving students, faculty, and staff the resources to think critically, live creatively, and act compassionately.

  • Orff Training for our lower school music and movement teacher.
  • Apple TVs installed in more classrooms to allow remote streaming and wireless connections.
  • Educational leadership courses for IDEA Committee chairs.
  • Increased Social Emotional Learning support.
  • The purchase of a new robotics kit for our high school robotics team.
  • Updates in physical education equipment including floor hockey sticks and scooters of different sizes.
  • Increased school-sponsored opportunities for social connection.

Thank you for your financial support and the trust you place in Country Day. We are looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our outstanding students at the upcoming closing ceremonies and graduation.

With deep gratitude,

Lee Thomsen
Head of School
