Welcome from the PA

Hello and welcome to the Parents' Association of Sacramento Country Day!
We are so happy you are here. Our central goal is to create a warm and close-knit community for all families, students, and Staffulty at Country Day. We are passionate about creating fun, social, and philanthropic events for everyone to enjoy. We represent all of the wonderful parents, guardians, grandparents, step-parents, and other special people who nurture and care for our students.
We invite you to be involved! Please check out the Parents’ Association Resource Board on CavNET. There, you can always find our sign-up sheets and help-wanted postings. Participating with the PA is a great way to make a difference in our students’ lives and build strong connections within our school community. Plus, it is truly a great time!
Together, we can create a community that encourages growth, inclusivity, and unity.
Warmly,
Sydney Donnell & Becky Kim
Sydney Donnell, Co-President

This is Sydney’s third year as an Executive Officer of the Parents Association. Sydney and her husband Tyler are proud parents of Preston (10th grade), and Harrison (4 years old). Sydney eagerly started helping with the Parents Association along with the Gala when Preston started Country Day. The welcoming community and desire to help others is what drew Sydney in. You will often find Sydney chatting with new and familiar faces while encouraging them to get involved with all the beautiful things Country Day has to offer.
When Sydney isn't helping around the campus she is involved with the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Assistance League of Sacramento and spending time with her family trying to make the community a brighter place.
Becky Kim, Co-President

Becky is excited to join the PA as an Executive Officer for the first time this year. Last year, she served as a Pre-K Room Parent, where she enjoyed welcoming new families, coordinating events, and helping foster the strong sense of community that makes our school special. It was such a rewarding experience that she was inspired to become even more involved this year.
Becky and her husband, Stephen, are proud parents to Ben (2nd grade) and Emerson (kindergarten), and she’s always happy to be a resource or help connect parents with someone who can answer their questions.
She’s passionate about bringing people together and creating a fun and memorable school experience for the kids. When you don’t see her on campus, she’s probably planning a fun event, volunteering, or getting to know the wonderful people around her!
The Co-Presidents have overlapping two-year terms and oversee the daily operations of the Country Day Parents’ Association. They manage meetings and agendas, ensuring that all business is conducted according to the Parents' Association's agreements. The Co-Presidents act as primary parent liaisons with various members of the Country Day community.
