Where Curiosity Takes Shape: Sophomore Research Showcase Debuts

The inaugural Sophomore Research Showcase brought the High School quad to life as every member of the Class of 2028 presented the culmination of months of inquiry, analysis, and independent thinking. Their nearly fifty projects were on display, reflecting an impressive range of interests from the global impact of the Sikh diaspora, to the economics of the collectible sneaker resale market, to the cultural significance of the 1992 Olympic basketball “Dream Team,” and beyond.

Throughout the event, students stood alongside their work, engaging in thoughtful conversations with staffulty judges, peers, and 5th grade visitors. They fielded questions, explained their methodologies, and reflected on the discoveries and challenges that shaped their research process. The result was a dynamic exchange of ideas that highlighted not only subject-matter knowledge, but also the confidence and communication skills our students are continually developing.

The Showcase was a meaningful milestone and an opportunity for students to explore their interests deeply and share their perspectives. It also served as a formal competition, with judges evaluating each project for depth of research, clarity of presentation, and originality of thought. Winners will be announced at the High School Awards Ceremony later in May.

Congratulations to our Class of 2028 for their hard work!
