A Young Leader Making a Lasting Impact

A Young Leader Making a Lasting Impact

We are proud to celebrate multiple outstanding achievements by Ethan M. ’29, whose leadership and commitment to service are already making a meaningful difference in his community.

Ethan has been named a 2026 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards semifinalist, a national recognition honoring Jewish teen leaders who are dedicated to repairing the world and inspiring future generations. He is being recognized for his impactful literacy advocacy and leadership work across the Sacramento region. Finalists will be announced in April, with award recipients named in June.

Adding to this exciting recognition, Ethan received the Teen Book Hero Award from Operation Literacy and Storycon in Salt Lake City over the weekend. This national honor celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to advancing children’s literacy. During the event, Ethan attended a gala and conference alongside authors and literacy leaders from across the country.

Ethan’s work is also gaining local attention. He has been featured in a recent CapRadio article highlighting his literacy initiative and is being recognized as a “Local Legend” in their SacramentoKnow newsletter.

Ethan’s passion for literacy, leadership, and service reflects the very best of our community, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of his work.
