March is Women’s History Month and we’re celebrating some pretty phenomenal Women in STEM, while inspiring future women leaders. Ava Dunham and Ella Martinelli '26 recently hosted 140 students and faculty at a Women in STEM panel for the high school. Panelists included:

  • Donna Huntingdale—President/CEO at Building Rx
  • Bianca Hansen ‘19—Condition Assessment Engineer, Specialized Solutions
  • Dr. Anna Doty—Professor and Animal Biologist specializing in physiological ecology at Sacramento State University
  • Dr. Arlyn Marrero-Nasirov—Pediatrician at Sutter Health Medical Center

  • Dr. Kellie Whited—Biology and Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Country Day
  • Victoria Conner—ATAPS and Chemistry teacher at Country Day

The group discussed advice for young women and girls pursuing careers in STEM, people that served as inspiration, the experience of being a woman in this field, and how boys and men help to uplift women in STEM.
