Senior Saheb Gulati was recently appointed as a Global Goals Ambassador for the UN Association of the USA. Launched in September 2020, the UNA-USA Global Goals Ambassador Network provides UNA-USA members with an opportunity to take their passion for a particular Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and leverage it to develop related programming and communications at the national level to raise awareness and work to advance the goals. During this year-long engagement opportunity, he will work alongside UNA-USA staff and other volunteer leaders to promote the SDGs through blog posts and UNA Forum articles, attendance and representation at events, and the creation of national programs.
In 2015, the member countries of the United Nations unanimously adopted a to-do list for the world to achieve by 2030. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), include 17 specific priorities and 231 targets designed to advance human dignity while protecting the planet. Achieving the goals by their 2030 due date will require action from companies, nonprofit organizations, individual citizens, and governments.
