In the Spotlight - Chalk Mural Masterpieces

Our student artists made it look easy, but the preparation for our annual Homecoming chalk murals span many stages. From selection to the projection room, preparing paper stencils, and hours spent creating the piece…the annual chalk murals are a moment of impermanent beauty and artistic awe for our entire community for nearly 30 years. This year, the art was created in celebration of our 60th anniversary, and it was INCREDIBLE! 

 

Thank you to the leadership of Art Teacher Andy Cunningham, to the teachers who allow the students a day off for creation, the student helpers, and, of course, our Cavalier artists for their magnificent creations! Check out the timelapse video here!
