Brains in the Fourth Grade Classroom
Our fourth grade students recently took part in the "Brains to Classrooms" program through UC Davis where real animal brains come to elementary school classrooms for lessons in comparative anatomy and the functions of the brain. This lesson exposes students to different types of brains and how they work.
The scientists share that, "making children aware of such topics at an early age is the best way to spark a lifelong interest in learning; capturing their imagination and attention is all about making science fun and cool, and potentially turn that interest into a career."
