Sacramento Country Day has earned the College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science A (CSA). Through these diversity awards, the AP Program acknowledges 1,153 schools for their work toward improving female representation during the 2023-24 school year. Our school is one of only 237 schools to achieve this accomplishment for AP CSA.
This year our high school also welcomed a new Computer Science Teacher, Caroline Hersh-Rodeen. She is a CSU-Monterey Bay graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a master’s degree in Mathematics from Providence College. She comes to Sacramento Country Day with a decade of experience teaching math and computer science. She is passionate about taking young people on academic adventures while gently guiding them toward realizing themselves and their unique gifts so they can best serve their communities. Her inspired leadership drives this award for female diversity in computer science.
