The Country Day orchestra had a wonderful weekend at the CMEA Capitol Section Honors Orchestra last weekend! Students are chosen by the director of each school orchestra program and participate with other local musicians.
In our High School orchestra, we had 4 high school students participate. Jackson W. auditioned and won first chair, as well as two music scholarships. Kai F. auditioned and won second chair and a scholarship. Kai H. and Andrew L. also were selected to participate.
In the Middle School orchestra, we had 8 middle school students participate. Vivian L. won first chair in the orchestra and a scholarship. Deven P. won the concertmaster spot and a scholarship. Ezekiel G. won two music scholarships. Meera A., Reeya D., Emily F., Inez F., and Mayuri K. were all honor orchestra participants as well.
