Chamber Quintet Excellence

As part of the 68th Annual Golden Empire Music Festival this month, our Sacramento Country Day Chamber Quintet performed at their best. The five student musicians — Adam Akins '23, Rya Allen '26, Rebecca Lin '26, and Garrett Xu '25— received a Superior Rating for their performance of Telemann’s TWV 53: F1 concerto for three violins and Bach’s BWV 1043 double violin concerto. 

The quintet, consisting of three violins and one piano, specializes in arrangements for small ensembles. Led by our High School chamber music teacher, Maria Hoyos, the group practices three times a week in the morning as a zero period class
