Community Events
Throughout the year, we come together for a number of special all-school events that bring our community to life across all three divisions. These shared experiences create lasting memories for students and families alike, while strengthening the connections that make our school so special.
Pacha Mundi Day

At Country Day, it's our mission to build a community where students are seen, known, and heard, and where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed, but celebrated. Our annual Pacha Mundi Day is at the heart of that commitment to our students and our larger campus community.
Pacha Mundi Day is a vibrant, all-school celebration that brings our community together to explore, share, and honor cultures from around the world. Designed to be interactive and friendly for all age groups, this half-day event invites students to experience global traditions through food, performances, and hands-on activities.
Parents and student groups come together to host cultural booths representing countries and regions from around the world, offering traditional foods, crafts, games, and interactive learning experiences. Dynamic performances from local dancers and musicians are also a highlight of the day!
All-School Spring Showcase

Our All-School Spring Showcase is an annual, open-house-style event for our current and incoming families. It's a celebratory atmosphere for the year’s accomplishments and builds excitement for what’s next. Students and their families move freely through classrooms across all divisions, exploring student work, enjoying student musical performances, demonstrating PE activities, wandering in the garden, and previewing upcoming grade levels. Student performances and light refreshments make it an exciting evening to connect with the community.
Play-a-Thon

The Play-a-Thon is a beloved, day-long tradition that brings our entire Country Day community together through music, creativity, and purpose. Students from every division, alongside faculty, share musical performances on a rotating schedule throughout the day, while a global craft fair features African handicrafts and handmade items from our own students and staffulty. Open to our whole community, families are encouraged to stop by and experience any part of the day as the performance schedule is released closer to the event. Proceeds support our sister schools in Rulindo, continuing a meaningful tradition first started in 2009
