Congratulations to these outstanding Country Day students. By taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last October students became eligible for National Merit recognition. 50,000 students across the country with the highest scores were identified and 34,000 of those were designated Commended Scholars. 16,000 students were designated as National Merit Semi-Finalists and represent less than 1% of each state’s high school seniors. National Merit Semi-Finalists are eligible to continue on to become Finalists and compete for National Merit Scholarships.
