Strengthen programmatic offerings through the elevation and expansion of our academic facilities.
- Implement comprehensive engineering and robotics programs for Middle and High School students in fully equipped STEAM classrooms.
- Provide dedicated learning spaces where students explore and grow their understanding of both visual and performing arts.
- Deliver a comprehensive lunch program using healthy, locally sourced meals available to all students and staff and, with the use of the garden, enhance current nutrition/farm-to-fork courses.
- Construct a high-quality auditorium where students learn to showcase their diverse talents and community members gather to celebrate and learn from guest speakers.
Ensure a best-in-class teaching and learning experience in which students can achieve personal excellence in a student-centered environment that values the whole child.
- Update and expand the Pre-K through Grade 12 Curriculum Map to ensure academic content continuity beyond a standards-based curriculum.
- Continue to finance professional development, curriculum development, and continuing education opportunities for faculty and staff.
- Strengthen our recruiting and onboarding processes to and attract, retain and develop a creative, diverse community of gifted educators.
Seek continuing opportunities to build a community of diversity and belonging among Sacramento Country Day students, families, faculty, staff and trustees.
- Formalize a campus-wide intentional approach to celebrate and support members of the school’s diverse community.
- Remain attuned and responsive to the diverse needs of the Sacramento Country Day Community through regular surveys and communication with student, family and employee affinity groups.
- Refine and articulate mission supported statements that illustrate how the school’s core values are upheld on campus.
- Increase engagement within the broader community through events, programs and initiatives both on and off campus.
Evaluate and revise the school’s financial model annually to ensure that it continues to reflect a strong financial commitment to our students, families, faculty and staff.
- Maintain and recruit high-quality faculty and staff through salaries and benefits that are commensurate with local and national levels and accrediting agencies.
- Expand a culture of philanthropy to focus on major gifts and endowments as well as maintain a high percentage of participation across the entire school community.
- Evaluate Country Day’s tuition in order to fully support a high quality Independent School education in a market without other Independent peer institutions.
- Examine how Country Day communicates tuition assistance to identify ways to make the School more approachable for all of our families.
