Spirit Wear items are for sale throughout the year at events on campus and in the front office. There are clothing items for children and adults, as well as water bottles, license plates, tote bags, and Cavalier stuffed animals. Stop by the front office or use the Spirit Wear Order Form
Prior to the beginning of each month, students will select their menus for the month. The selections you make on the order form will be good for the entire month. For example, when you select your menu item for Monday that will be your standing order for each Monday of the current month. (You can’t order for every-other Monday, for instance.) The school will rotate menu items periodically to offer more variety but will continue with high demand items.
Every parent with a child enrolled at Country Day is a member of the Parents’ Association (PA). The purpose of the Association is to promote school spirit and provide volunteer support. The activities of the Parents’ Association are administered by a Parent Board, which holds regular meetings open to all parents. The officers of the Parent Board are elected at the Annual Meeting in the spring of each year.
The Club is a PRE-PAID convenient ONE-TIME payment at the beginning of the school year to cover the extra “fun” activities traditionally collected from the room and grade parents throughout the school year AND it includes PRE-PAID entry to several events!
It eliminates ongoing requests for fund collections and event fees throughout the year. Cavalier Club membership also includes Grade Fund benefits. It provides each family with a discount for paying in advance.
You don’t have to play the cello to be a fine arts booster. The Arts Boosters group supports visual and performing arts at SCDS by helping with travel arrangements, drama productions, art shows, music performances, awards dinners, and special events.
In the fall, several SCDS musical and drama groups perform at the annual chicken barbecue hosted by the Arts Boosters and open to all families. Åt the winter event, the group turns the multi-purpose room into a Jazz Supper Club, which includes dinner and entertainment by the school’s jazz groups.
The Sports Boosters group is a volunteer organization supporting sports programs and athletics here at SCDS. The athletic program is open to students in grades five through 12 and all parents are invited to join the Boosters. The Boosters group helps the athletic department with award events, ticket sales, and transportation, and raises funds from snack bar sales, sponsorships, and membership dues.
